David was born in the heart of Mauldin behind the old Her Majesty, across from Texize in the Glendale neighborhood. He met his future wife at the Knollwood Heights neighborhood pool, and both went on to graduate from Mauldin High School and the University of South Carolina. David and Celeste married at First Baptist of Mauldin and happily raised their three children here in Simpsonville. The entire family still lives in the area and attends Brookwood Church. 

 

David is a successful business owner. After years in sales, David started his own business with a partner and built his first storage facility in 1996. Within a few short years they aggressively built, bought and sold 11 self storage facilities. Real estate development was a natural next step as David excelled in his business management. David and his colleague have owned multiple successful businesses including home healthcare, ammunition manufacturing, and storage maintenance. He has held an Insurance license, a real estate license and has been a general contractor since 1998. Because of his extensive experience, David was appointed to the Greenville Legislative Delegation Transportation Committee, where he has served for 4 years.
